Sarah Davy


Sarah Davy has an MA in Film Archiving. Since the late 1980s she has worked for the New Zealand Film Archive and the National Film and Television Archive (now bfi Collections).  

She has special interests in the life and work of New Zealand cookery writer and nutritionist Bee Nilson, the history of the film archiving movement and the life and work of the New Zealand experimental artist Len Lye. The author of the booklet A Work in Progress – Archiving Len Lye  (2001), and co-author of Views From the Edge of the World: New Zealand Film (1997), she has also contributed to the journal Anglofiles, and the collections Len Lye (2000), and Contemporary New Zealand Cinema: From New Wave to Blockbuster (2008).
